Emily Gomersall
2019

Emily is an inspired leader who makes the classroom and community a better place for her contributions. Her coursework (and GPA) reflect the efforts she puts into her studies. When independent projects are required in a course (e.g., ESST 4003), Emily’s work is creative, important, and of the highest quality. In her honour's work exploring community metrics for measuring well-being, Emily not only reviewed 8 complex metrics but sought to develop her own based on critical analysis. Her work was shared at a government workshop in Ottawa that explored metrics for measuring impacts to community from energy infrastructure. Her presentation will form part of a co-authored book chapter to be published in summer 2019. Emily brings a positive, creative spirit to everything that she undertakes.
